Valentina Alena Girelli has a PhD in Geodetic and Topographic Sciences and is currently fixed-term Junior Assistant Professor for a three-year research program entitled: "Integration of advanced geomatic techniques for detecting and returning buildings and land".
The main research fields are related to the objects 3D survey methods, especially in the field of Cultural Heritage and the multi-temporal study of the territory, in an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach.
From 2019, she is member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Photogrammetry and Topography.
The 13th of June 2019 she obtained the National Academic Qualification as Associate Professor.
She is author of 51 scientific publications.
