Tommaso Duranti

Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2019, my area of study and teaching is the history of the Middle Ages.

My main research interests concern:

• late medieval political institutions, with a particular focus on the case of Bologna
• the history of medieval universities from the point of view of institutional and doctrinal development, with particular attention to the teaching of medicine
• the history of medicine, illness and therapeutic figures in the Middle Ages.
