ACADEMIC CARRIER

He achieved his PhD in Sociology in 2013 at the Department of Sociology and Economic Law at the University of Bologna. Subsequently, he was employed as a research fellow in various Universities and national and international research centers, even including CISET, the International Center for Tourism Economics Studies at Ca 'Foscari University in Venice and the University of Bologna. At an international level, he has collaborated with the Complutense University and with the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid (Spain). He currently is a researcher (RTB) at the Department of Sociology and Economic Law at the University of Bologna. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the section "Cultural processes and institutions" of AIS (Italian Association of Sociology) and he participates in the "Sociology of Consumption" research network (RN5) of ESA (European Sociological Association).

 

TEACHING ACTIVITIES

As an expert in "Sociology", Sociology of consumption", "Theories and technics of mass communication", "Sociology of cultural and communication processes", he has taught in several Public and private, Academic and non-academic courses and Master:

  • 2017 - Master in “Enogastronomy and hospitality”, Department of Sociology and Business law of the University of Bologna, Bologna (Italy);
  • 2015 - Professional Course in "Marketing of tourism and territorial promotion through social media strategies", Emilia-Romagna Region (Italy);
  • 2013 - High Educational Course in “Communication and marketing of sustainable consumption", Department of Sociology and Business law of the University of Bologna, Bologna (Italy).

INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITIES AND ACADEMIC POSITION

Among 2013 and 2017 he has been the tutor of the course "Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes" at the Department of Sociology and Business law of the University of Bologna.

 

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Involved from several years in research activities, he has collaborated with National and International Institution, such as CISET, the International Center for Studies on Tourist Economy of the Ca'Foscari University (Venice), and Climate-kic, the Europe’s largest public-private innovation partnership focused on climate change.

Some of his recent official research projects are the following:
  • 2016/17 “Accounting matters in co-innovation: understanding the role and impact of accounting on co-production and co-creation of value in public services” (University of Bologna);
  • 2017 "MADRE - Metropolitan Agriculture for Developing an innovative, sustainable and Responsible Economy" (European Interreg Med project, Metropolitan City of Bologna);
  • 2014/16 “Citizen-consumers and food waste reduction practices” (PRIN project, University of Bologna);
  • 2013/14 “Practices and policies of food consumption within sustainable lifestyles facing the crisis (PRIN project, University of Bologna);
  • 2012/13 “Methodology for the analysis of the interaction between the evolution of the social and consumption behaviors and tourist market perspectives in its different segmentations. Apply to the household and outgoing tourism” (CISET, Ca’ Foscari).
