Stefano Chessa Altieri

Stefano Chessa Altieri is an Affiliated Researcher at the Centre for History of Sciences Po and the Gramsci Institute in Bologna, and a Teaching Fellow at the University of Bologna. He recently completed a PhD in Global History and Governance at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale (Italy) and Sciences Po (France), under the supervision of Prof. Mario Del Pero. His doctoral research examines U.S. foreign policy toward China after the Tiananmen crackdown of June 1989, analysing the strategic, economic, and ethical dimensions of the relationship in the early post–Cold War era.
