Associate Professor of Agricultural Engineering, Architectural Engineer and PhD in Structural Mechanics, since 2004 he has carried out research activities in the field of modeling and design of farm buildings and agro-industrial facilities, and rural landscape planning. The main research topics concern: optimization of livestock barns, greenhouses and agro-industrial buildings; integration of renewable energies and energy efficiency in farm buildings; enhancement of the historic rural built heritage.
Author of over 150 papers, member of the working groups of national and international research projects, he is scientific responsible of the European project "RES4LIVE - Energy Smart Livestock Farming towards Zero Fossil Fuel Consumption" and of the Italian PRIN project "DiAGreen - Digital twin of Agricultural Greenhouses".
