Born in Bologna (Italy) in May 20th 1963.

1990 – DVM: Degree in Veterinary Medicine with Honour - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine , University of Bologna (Italy).

1990 - Prize "Konrad Lorenz" for the best thesis of the Academic Year 1989/90.

1998 - PhD in Diagnostic Imaging - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Milan (Italy).

1999 – Post-PhD school at University of Parma, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Institute of Surgery, associated at University of Bologna.

2000 - Training at Cold Spring Hills Animal Hospital in Huntington, NY. (March 2000) and at Cornell University Hospital for Animal, Department of Clinical Sciences, Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery Service” ad Ithaca, New York, USA (June-August 2004).

2001 - Researcher - Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine , Bologna University (Italy).

2003 - Certified Vet Referee for the hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia, with the FSA reference number.

2004 - Marco Polo Programme, at the "Cornell University Hospital for Animals, Department of Clinical Sciences, Small Animal Surgery section", Ithaca, New York (Prof. Trotter)

2011 to now: Head of Training Curricula of Clinical Veterinary Surgery SSD VET/09

2017 - Obtained the national scientific qualification (ASN) (Call D.D. 1532/2016, competition sector 07 / H5 - Clinical Surgery and Veterinary Obstetric - Professor Associate).

Teaching activity at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine:

- From 2001 to present. "Veterinary Orthopedics". VET/09 course of Veterinary Medicine.

- 2001 to present. "Orthopedic Clinic of pets" intergrated course of the internship Surgical Veterinary Clinic.

Teaching activity in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Animals:

- 2008 to 2013. teacher "Biomaterials and Biological Matrices" and "Biomaterials" in the form of "stem cells in regenerative medicine" VET/01 the course of Science in Animal Biotechnology.

-2001 to present. Tutor for internal and PhD students; teacher for the presentation of n° 52 theses.

CLINICAL CARE ACTIVITIES

2001 to the present. Clinical care and teaching activities at the Teaching Hospital G. Gentile Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences and the Service of Surgery, Anaesthesia and Intensive Care that is identified in the course of visits to specialists, orthopedic, orthopedic surgical interventions available to emergency surgery and first aid.
