TEACHING ACTIVITIES

Since 2025, she has been involved in teaching support and thesis supervision for students enrolled in the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (NEPHROLOGY – DISEASES OF THE URINARY SYSTEM [course code 08793]), and the Master’s Degree in Medical Biotechnology (NEPHROLOGY – BIOMOLECULAR BASIS OF ORGAN PATHOLOGIES [course code 69883]).

RESEARCH / SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

She actively participates in numerous national and international research projects, with a specific focus on immunological mechanisms in organ transplant recipients. Her research includes the analysis of the effects of immunomodulatory therapies — including erythropoietin — on autoimmune diseases, rejection processes, and immune tolerance.

She conducts in-depth studies on glomerular diseases, particularly membranous nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, investigating the role of inflammation and the mechanisms contributing to renal damage progression.

Another area of interest is the study of the complement system in kidney diseases, with a particular focus on the expression of regulatory factors such as the Decay-Accelerating Factor (DAF).
