Graduated in Energy Engineering (2017) at the University of Bologna, he earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (University of Bologna) and Engineering Science – Mechanics and Materials (École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, Paris).
Post-doctoral researcher at DEI from Nov 2020 to Jan 2023, he is now Junior Assistant Professor.
His research focuses on polymers for electrical insulation, nanodielectrics, cable condition monitoring, and insulation aging.
In Dec 2023, he obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor. Awarded the IEEE DEIS Caixin Sun & Stan Grzybowski Young-Professional Achievement Award (Aug 2024).
Principal Investigator of the EU project “LVDS-PVC” on PVC insulation aging for nuclear applications.
In Oct 2025, he won First Prize at the Young Researcher Contest at Jicable HVDC in Turin.
