Simona Del Forno

Professor at the School of Specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics, University of Bologna

Dr. Del Forno graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2009 at the University of Bologna, where she later specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics (2016) and earned her PhD in General Medical Sciences and Health Services Sciences (2019).

Since 2019, she has been working as a Consultant at the Gynecology and Human Reproductive Pathophysiology Unit at Sant’Orsola University Hospital in Bologna.

She has authored numerous scientific articles published in national and international journals (h-index 20) and, in 2025, achieved the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor.

Her main research interests are focused on endometriosis, gynecological ultrasound including pelvic floor ultrasound, gynecological oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.
