Born in Venice (Italy) in 1975.
M.Sc. in Geophysics with honors (1998, Università di Padova).
B.Sc. and M.Sc., both with honors, in Civil Engineering (Università di Bologna).
Ph.D in Earth Sciences (2001, Università di Bologna).
I studied English (C1), German (C1), French, Spanish, Arabic and I travelled a lot from 2000 to 2011, mostly as free-lance geophysicist and trainer on emergent geophysical techniques that I also was developing.
I became researcher at the University of Bologna in 2011 and Associate Professor in 2017. I teach (or have taught) Physics, Earth Physics, Exploration Geophysics, Applied Seismology. I loved teaching Applied Seismology and the students I met there.
I love experimental sciences. I am interested in the geophysical non-invasive exploration of the subsoil, in the prospection techniques, in developing methods and tools to explore the subsurface. I'm interested in the practical applications of this knowledge.
Trees, architectures, figure ice skating are my other passions.
Ciao :-)
