I am currently a PhD student in "Translation, Interpreting and Interculturality" at the Department of Interpreting and Translation, University of Bologna. My research project aims at exploring the experience of interpreters who work in settings related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. A special attention is paid to interpreters' vicarious traumatization and coping strategies, as well as to the didactics of interpretation in crisis settings.
Since 2017, I have been an interpreter trainer (both dialogue and conference interpreting), combination Russian<>Italian, by the same department. In the past years, I have been teaching interpreting at other Italian public and private universities.
I hold a degree in Conference Interpreting from the School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators, University of Bologna. I've spent several years abroad in Russia, Belgium and Serbia.
I am a native speaker of Italian and I have been working as a freelance interpreter for Serbian, Russian, English, French, and Croatian languages since 2008.
