Curriculum vitae

She is currently a Senior Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology at the Department of Psychology "Renzo Canestrari", University of Bologna. Her research focuses on clinical psychology and psychosomatics, in particular on clinical and sub-clinical psychological distress, on the role of psychological well-being in the balance between health and illness and on bio-psycho-social correlates of cardiovascular diseases.

 

Education

Graduated in Clinical and Community Psychology (cum laudem) in 2008 at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Bologna (Cesena), she obtained the Licence to Practice the Profession of Psychologist in 2009 (Regional Board of Psychologists of Emilia Romagna N°: 6102; Section: A). She got her PhD in General and Clinical Psychology (XXV Cycle) at the University of Bologna in 2013.

 

Academic career

After being a research fellow at the Department of Psychology "Renzo Canestrari" of the University of Bologna (from 2013 to 2019), and an adjunct professor at the Master's Degree Course in Clinical Psychology at the University of Bologna (from 2016 to 2021), currently she is a Senior Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology.

 

Teaching activity

Since 2016 she is a supervisor of theses at the Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology of the University of Bologna. Since 2016, she is also an adjunct professor of didactic modules (Lab of Clinical Psychology) at the Master's Degree Course in Clinical Psychology of the University of Bologna. Since 2014, she gives lectures at national and international conferences related to her research topics.

 

Scientific activity

She has participated in a variety of national research programs. From April to November 2012, she was a visiting scholar at the Yale School of Medicine (New Haven, CT, USA). Since 2010 she is a referee of international journals in the field of clinical psychology, psychiatry and psychosomatics.

 

Scientific and editorial committees

Since 2009 she is a member of the "Italian Association of Behavioral Analysis and Modification and Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy" (AIAMC). She is a member of the Clinimetrics and Psychological Well-Being Laboratory (Head: Professor Chiara Rafanelli) and of the Clinical Psychosomatics, Organ Transplants and Psychological-Clinical Interventions (Head: Professor Silvana Grandi) at the Department of Psychology, University of Bologna. Since 2018 she is a member of the European Association of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment. In 2019 she was a member of the International College of Psychosomatic Medicine (ICPM).

 

Awards

In 2015 she won the “TRUST SAULO SIRIGATTI for studies and research in psychology” Award for the poster entitled “Allostatic load in depressed infarcted patients with or without type A behavior”.
