2000: Degree in Biology at the University of Bologna, Italy.

2000: Post-degree training in the Human and General Physiology Department, Neurophysiology  of the hippocampal region and Molecular Neurobiology laboratories, University of Bologna.

2000-2008: Holder of a research grant in Neurophysiology of the hippocampal region and Molecular Neurobiology laboratories, University of Bologna.

2008: Researcher, School of Medicine, University of Bologna.

2021: Associate Professor of Physiology, School of Medicine, University of Bologna.

 

RESEARCH FIELDS:

Neurophysiology of the hippocampal-parahippocampal networks.

Long-term effects of early life experiences on the organization of the hippocampal circuits.

Molecular and physiological mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases (Down syndrome, Alzheimer disease).

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Since 2008, in different years, responsibility of University teaching courses of Physiology, Applied Physiology, Neurophysiology, for students in Radiology, Podology, Orthopedic techniques, Neurophysiopathology techniques, Dentistry and Medicine and Surgery, for residents in Gynecology and Obstetrician, and in master courses in Physical Therapy.

Supervision of 5 bachelor and master theses in physiology and of 1 PhD thesis in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences. Contribution to training of 5 PhD students. Supervision of 6 post-doctoral research fellowships.
