Stefano Goffredo

Stefano Goffredo conducts research in the field of temperate and tropical coral ecology and biology, with a particular focus on population dynamics, reproduction, biomineralization, and the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems. He has carried out research periods at international institutions and maintains active scientific collaborations with universities and research centers in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. He is the founder and coordinator of the Marine Science Group and the scientific coordinator of the Fano Marine Center, an inter-institutional center dedicated to research on marine biodiversity, resources, and biotechnologies. He is the scientific coordinator of numerous national and international research projects, including ERC and PNRR programs, and coordinates advanced training and doctoral activities in marine sciences.
