Rosa Grasso is an architect and researcher, holding a PhD in Architecture and Design Cultures from the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on the relationship between architecture and territorial transformations related to climate change, with particular attention to marginal landscapes. During her PhD she spent a research period at TU Delft within the Port City Futures research group led by Carola Hein.
Alongside her academic research, she works as a freelance architect, focusing on adaptive reuse, the regeneration of buildings and public spaces, and architectural interventions within fragile landscapes. She has collaborated with architectural practices in Italy and abroad, including EMBT – Enric Miralles Benedetta Tagliabue.
As a teaching tutor, she supports design studio and research activities, assisting students in the critical development of architectural projects and in understanding the relationship between territory and contemporary transformations.
