Roberto Pasini teaches at the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Università di Bologna. Previously, he has taught in the Department of Architecture and Habitat Studies of the Universidad de Monterrey and served as a lecturer, design critic, and Visiting Professor in Urban Planning and Design at Harvard and visiting faculty at Concordia University. His work focuses on the contemporary landscape as the field of interaction of environmental systems, built structures, and cultural dynamics. He has co-curated recent publications focusing on new landscape meanings emerging with novel ecological equilibria (
Ri-Vista 22(1)/2024) and on the permanence of ancestral drives in the contemporary production of space (
Rassegna 170/2023). Among other publications,
Landscape Paradigms… (Springer 2019) and
Symbiotic Matorral (Libria 2019) collect opposite and complementary pages of the same travelogue through the regions of landscape. Pasini has served as a juror of the EU/Europa Nostra Prize for Cultural Heritage and received the Premio di Architettura H.C. Andersen of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca.
