Roberta Priore is a research fellow in Italian philology at the University of Bologna, where she also teaches a laboratory about the encoding of Digital Scholar Edition. Her current area of expertise includes indeed textual criticism and Digital Humanities.
During her PhD, supervised by Professor Paola Italia, she dealt with the dating of the first hundred pages of the Zibaldone di pensieri by Giacomo Leopardi exploiting different perspectives.
She joined the Vasto Project [https://dharc-org.github.io/progetto-vasto/], funded by the CarisBo foundation, for the creation of a digital edition of the Storia fiorentinaby Benedetto Varchi. At the present, she is involved in a PRIN that investigates the relation between Giacomo Leopardi and his ancient sources, with the scope of creating a digital platform that is able to enhance that relation in Leopardi’s oeuvre.
Furthermore, Priore is Chief and web Editor for the academic journal, Ecdotica.
