Riccardo Prandini is Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes. His research focuses on changes in national welfare systems; co-production of social services; governance of social services; and social innovation. He has participated in numerous Prin (Prin for National Research and Innovation) and European projects. He has been a member of national observatories on family and equal opportunities. He directs the "Coincidentia Oppositorum" series published by Mimesis and "Vite Parallele" published by FrancoAngeli. He has published numerous publications, translations, and research reports, and has participated in national and European research projects.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Scientific Society of Sociology, Culture, and Communication (SISCC).
He is Director of the Master's Program in Governance and Innovation in Local Welfare (Unibo), as well as of the Master TESI TN, an international Master's program on social innovation.
