PhD candidate in Agricultural Hydraulics and Watershed Protection at the Department of Agricultural and Food Science (DISTAL) of the University of Bologna.
His research focuses on water resources management related to the physiology of grapevine and other fruit plants and the application of new technologies in precision agriculture and viticulture. The ongoing project he is in charge of is related to a new non-invasive soil moisture estimation technology called cosmic-ray neutron sensing (CRNS). Within the current project, his research aims to link the plants' physiological features to better water-use management through tailored irrigation scheduling in response to the CRNS signal.
