Riccardo Ghetti is Senior Assistant Professor of Business Law at the University of Bologna. Qualified as Associate Professor, he teaches Corporate Law and Financial Market Regulation.
He graduated with honours from the University of Bologna and holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from King's College London. He gained his Ph.D. in Company Law and Financial Markets Regulation from the University of Bologna, during which he spent a research semester at the London School of Economics and Political Science Library. After a post-doctoral position at the University of Bologna he became Assistant Professor and qualified as an Associate Professor of Business Law.
He has been an Academic Visitor to the Faculties of Law of the University of Oxford and of the University of Cambridge, a Visiting Professor at the University of Haifa, Israel and a lecturer at the European Master in Law and Economics.
Riccardo teaches Corporate Law, Financial Market Regulation and Business Law at the Faculty of Law and at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bologna. He is a member of the Center for Sustainability and Climate Change of the Bologna Business School, where he teaches Sustainable Finance and Corporate Governance.
Riccardo’s research interests in corporate law and financial market regulation focus on directors’ duties, the regulation of financial advice and sustainable corporate governance.
He is a member of the Italian Bar and has worked for a leading international law firm.
