Riccardo Accorsi

Since 2021, he has been an Associate Professor in the field of Mechanical Industrial Systems at the University of Bologna. His research focuses on the design and optimization of industrial production and logistics systems. In the field of industrial engineering, he focuses on sustainable production and logistics and operations management in the manufacturing, logistics, packaging, and agri-food sectors. He develops and implements optimization, simulation, and machine learning models to promote environmental sustainability and mitigate the impacts of industrial production, storage, and transportation systems. He collaborates with several international research centers, including the Georgia Institute of Technology, San Francisco State University, Catholica Universidad de Chile, CSIRO, CSIR, Wageningen, and Lund University. A member of the Food & Wine Supply Chain Council (FWSCC), he has authored over 100 publications in scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. Go to the Curriculum vitae
