1. Papyrology: edition of texts, especially of the Late Antique period, critical history of papyrology in the colonial context, issues of provenance and ethics in the publication of ancient texts.

2. Cultural Heritage Studies: issues and problems related with the legal and illegal circulation of Egyptian objects, especially papyri, on the antiquities market.

3. History of Egypt in the Graeco-Roman world: I have dealt with themes and topics of social and economic history in the Late Antique and Byzantine periods, the spread of Christianity in Egypt and magical and religious practices attested in papyri.

4. Roman and Late Antique history, especially gender and subaltern studies through material evidence.
