Past Academic Positions : Full Professor of Psychology, University of Bologna (1983-2013),  Full Professor of Psychology, University of Parma (1982-1984); Associate Professor of Psychology, University of Bologna (1974-1981); Lecturer in Experimental Psychology, University of Macerata (1972-1974); Assistant Professor of Psychology, University of Bologna (1970-1972).

Current Institutional and Scientific Responsibilities: Member of the Research Center for Emotion and Health (Department of Psychology, University of Bologna); Past-President of the Italian Society for Health Psychology (SIPSA); President of the Italian Association for the Study of Non Verbal Communication (AISCNV).
