Short Bio

PhD student at the University of Bologna, he works in the field of Contemporary Italian Literature and Environmental Humanities. His research interests also focus on Aesthetics and contemporary Ontology, with particular attention to Romantic literary criticism and 20th century existentialism, structuralism and post-structuralism. He is currently completing a thesis on literary ecologism in the Italian novel from the post-war period to the 1970s, through the perspective provided by Graham Harman's Oriented Ontology and the theory of Hyperobjects as developed by Timothy Morton. Some of the authors he is working on are Italo Calvino, Giorgio Bassani, Anna Maria Ortese, Ottiero Ottieri and Gianni Celati. He has collaborated with the publishing house Pendragon and the Athenaeum magazine Finzioni. Since 2022 he has participated in the PRIN project For an Atlas of Italian Ecological Literature: From the Great Acceleration to the Pandemic (LEDA), coordinated by the Iulm University of Milan.
