Graduated in Biology at the University of Naples in 2012. In 2013, Pietro Cacialli became PhD student in "Model Organisms in Biomedical and Veterinary Research", conducting studies on the molecular targets of post-traumatic neuro-regeneration in zebrafish model. From 2014 to 2016 he proceeded his research at the INSERM of University of Rennes (France). He obtained the title of PhD in 2016. On December 2016 he became Post-Doc at University of Geneva (Switzerland). His research led to the identification of a key gene in hematopoiesis, and his findings were published in high-impact journals. In 2021 he becomes Maître-Assistant and Junior Principal Investigator at the University of Geneva. His research was awarded by various swiss foundations, such as GERTRUDE VON MEISSNER, ERNEST BONINCHI. From 2023-2025 he became Junior Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna, he is a collaborator in projects financed by various italian foundations, AIRC and CARISBO. In 2025 he obtained the position of Assistant Professor in Tenure Track, and he received funding for a research project awarded by the TELETHON Foundation.
