Since 2009 he has been involved in the declination of academic research into enterprise. In 2010 he co-founded the academic spinoff byFlow Srl, a service and technology transfer company in the field of technologies and analysis methodologies for nano/biotechnologies, which in 2012 with the project "Stem Sel" won the StartCup 2013, business plan competition of the Emilia-Romagna Region. He is also co-founder of Stem Sel® Srl, another spinoff of the University of Bologna.
