Short Bio

Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics, Models and Mathematical Methods at the University of Bologna since September 2020. After graduating in Physics in 1993 at the University of Pisa as a student of the Scuola Normale Superiore, he obtained a PhD from the University of Bologna in 1996. From 1999 to 2014 he was a assistant professor in Theoretical Physics of Matter at the University of Camerino and then associate professor at the same university until August 2020. His main research interests are in the field of quantum many-body systems, in particular the physics of ultracold gases, superfluids and superconductors. He has made significant contributions to the theory of the BCS-BEC crossover. He is the author of more than 90 publications in international journals. Go to the Curriculum vitae
