Curriculum vitae

Pier Andrea Traverso was born in Modena, Italy, in 1969. He received the M.S. degree with honors in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronic and computer science engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 1996 and 2000, respectively. From 2000 to 2002 he was awarded a research grant from the Italian National Research Council (CSITE-CNR Institute, Bologna) for research activity concerning microwave electron device characterization and non-linear empirical modeling.

Since 2002 he is with the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi”, University of Bologna, where he is currently Associate Professor of Electronic Measurement. His main research interests are in the areas of non-linear dynamic system characterization and empirical modeling, microwave and millimeter-wave semiconductor device characterization and modeling, and sampling instrumentation and techniques. He is the coauthor of more than 120 international journal/conference technical papers.
