Paul Blokker graduated in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam (1997) and holds a doctorate from the European University Institute (2004). His research interests include the sociology of constitutional law and of human rights, constitutional change, constitutional and political imaginaries, civic participation, and populism, in particular (but not only) in the context of East-Central Europe. He is a member of the editorial collective of the journal Social Imaginaries and of the book series Social Imaginaries for Rowman and Littlefield. He is co-editor of the European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology, an official journal of the European Sociological Association. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of European Journal of Social Theory.
