EDUCATION

Since 2008, Continuous Professional Learning and Development: attendance to annual AITI seminars and update courses on topics related to the interpreting profession, terminology search, professional ethics, glossary management and marketing.

AY 1992-1993: Degree in Interpretation for French and English, with a final mark of 105/110 and thesis worthy of publication (Research Thesis on "Non-integrated Gallicisms and French expressions in Il Corriere della Sera: the results of a ten-year study" - based on the in-depth analysis of more than 3,000 issues of the newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, in the decade 1980-89).

TEACHING EXPERIENCES

2015, Member of the AITI Admission Jury for French candidate interpreters (Padua).

1995 – 1999, Owner of “Chat School” based in La Spezia (School for European and Non-European Languages and Translation Agency); during my term as Director, the school was granted the highest recognition from the Ministry of Education (Presa d’Atto Ministeriale, Decree no. 2846, May 8th 1998), for high quality and professionalism.

French Teacher and Organizer of specialized courses in preparation for the NATO test for officers and non-commissioned officers of the Italian Navy belonging to the following departments: School Vessel Amerigo Vespucci, Submarines Da Vinci and Sauro, Navy Helicopter station of Sarzana, Maricommi, Comsubin, Ship Alpino, Ship Magnaghi, Ship Ardito, Ship Maestrale, Ship Audace, Ship Numana, Ship Gaeta, Ship Esploratore Maricentromine, Marimissili, La Spezia Port Authority.

1993 – 1995, Byron School of La Spezia: French teacher for individual lessons and group courses for adults.

Since the mid-1990s: Free-lance Conference Interpreter (simultaneous, consecutive, chuchotage) and Liaison Interpreter, in Italy and abroad.

Associate and Certified Member of AITI (Associazione Italiana Traduttori e Interpreti) since 2006.

Speaker at the AITI Continuous Learning Seminar held in Bologna on Oct. 27th 2012 on “Conference Interpreting in a period of crisis: exchanging hands-on ideas and tips among colleagues”.
