Evaluation of Physiotherapy effectiveness in temporomandibular joint disorders. This research is carried out at the Occupational Medicine Operating Unit in collaboration with colleagues from Maxillofacial Surgery to verify the effectiveness of a rehabilitation therapy program in temporomandibular joint disorders. This is a Clinical Trial that compares two groups, one of which only receives a bite and an information and the other also receives n. 10 physiotherapy sessions.
Validation of Bridge Tests for the evaluation of Low Back Pain. It consists of proposing to a sample of about 150 subjects the three tests that are part of a set of tools for assessing the stability of the basin with the aim of evaluating its validity and reliability.
Validation and analysis of the psychometric properties of the Italian version of the URAM questionnaire (Unité Rheumatologique des Affections de la Main). It consists in proposing to a sample of about 50 subjects the URAM questionnaire for the evaluation of the functionality of the hand, with the aim of evaluating its validity and reliability.
Evaluation of the efficacy of a medical device for the sleep phase of subjects with snoring problems and sleep apnea. This research project is carried out in collaboration with the Neurology service of the Sant’Orsola-Malpighi University Hospital and the Neuroscience IRCCS, together with the collaboration with a company that produces certified pillows as medical devices. The objective is to verify its effectiveness even on people with snoring and sleep apnea disorders, after having already validated it for subjects suffering from chronic non-specific cervicalgia.
Evaluation of sexual disorders in people with chronic non-specific low back pain. It is a qualitative research study carried out on people with chronic non-specific low back pain, to assess the existence of related sexual activity disorders. The study was carried out on patients included in the "Recovery and Evaluation of Work Capacity" service of the Occupational Medicine Unit at the Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital-University.
New evaluation of the effectiveness of manual and mechanical traction in rachialgia, specifically in cervicalgia and lumbago. In light of the current absence of recommendations for the use of manual and mechanical traction in rachialgia, our study aims to deepen the research of the literature to verify its validity and, eventually, to redefine its conclusions. In fact, there are several recent testimonies that question this fact.
Evaluation of the effectiveness of numerous physiotherapeutic and clinical interventions in the rehabilitation treatment of chronic non-specific cervical pains. This study investigates in depth all the physiotherapeutic and pharmacological techniques presented in the scientific literature on the management of subjects with chronic non-specific cervicalgia. The Network Meta-Analysis is used as a methodology, which also allows an indirect comparison between different approaches, included in studies that do not compare them in specific trials.
Evaluation of the efficacy of a medical device for assisted breathing in patients operated on at the Cardiac Surgery service. It is a Randomized and Controlled Clinical Trial carried out in collaboration with the Cardiac Surgery Service and the Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation Service of the Sant'Orsola-Malpighi University Hospital to verify the effectiveness of a medical device that allows assisted subjects. of aortic valve replacement in respiratory function. In particular, its ability to solve atelectasis will be evaluated.
