Natalia Peñín Fernández has been a lecturer in Spanish Language and Translation at the University of Bologna for more than 10 years at the Department of Translation and Interpretation (DIT) and the Department of Political and Social Sciences (SPS). Since 2021 he has been teaching a course in Language and Culture of Spanish-speaking countries also in and the Department of Political and Social Sciences (SPS). She obtained her PhD in 2019 at DIT with a thesis on linguistic error in the context of reverse translation between Italian and Spanish. She is currently working as a research fellow on the LITIAS project - Italian language in Spanish-speaking territories: historiographical analysis - where she is in charge of the localisation, cataloguing and study of lexicographic material for Spanish-speaking learners of Italian as a second language.
Her main areas of research concern the didactics of translation and contrast between Italian and Spanish, bilingual Italian-Spanish lexicography and the historiography of multilingual lexicography, as can be seen from her participation in national and international congresses, the latest examples of which are given here in a representative manner:
