Short Bio

Muhammad Waqas Arshad, Ph.D. is a researcher specializing in Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Optimization. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna (2022–2025), with an industrial research collaboration at Ferrari S.p.A. (Maranello, Italy). His doctoral research focuses on geometric and kinematic modeling and optimization of double wishbone suspension systems, leveraging AI, quantum annealing, and hybrid quantum-classical methods for real-world engineering applications. He is also a Visiting Research Scholar at Purdue University (Fort Wayne, USA), contributing to research in machine learning, deep learning, time-series analysis, and computer vision. His broader research interests include QUBO formulations, multi-objective optimization, quantum-inspired algorithms, and HPC-driven computational frameworks. An IBM Qiskit Advocate, he actively contributes to the research community through peer review, technical program committees, and interdisciplinary collaboration bridging academia and industry.
