Mirko Viroli

Mirko Viroli is Full Professor in Computer Engineering at the DISI department (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) at University of Bologna (UNIBO), in Italy, where he holds institutional responsibility as Director of Organisational Unit (UOS) of the Cesena site of DISI, as Director of Second Cycle Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, and as Vice Dean of the Engineering School for the Cesena site. He is an expert in foundations of computer science and programming, object-oriented programming, advanced software development, computational models, software engineering and adapative pervasive computing systems, and he regularly teaches (or has taught) courses on these subjects. He is in the Editorial Board of IEEE Software Magazine.

He is author of more than 300 papers, of which more than 80 on journals, and his GoogleScholar h-index is 49 with >8000 citations.
