Millene is a second-year PhD student in Aerospace Science and Technology at the University of Bologna. Her current research interests include topics in the vicinity of advanced Human-Machine interfaces, Human-Centered Design, modelling softwares and sustainable multi-modal mobility. Specifically, Millene is particularly interested in the application of Design Methods to transportation and to sustainable air mobility. In addition, she is also interested in C/C# programming languages and eXtended Reality technologies (a broader term encompassing Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality and Augmented Reality technologies).
Education
She holds a 5 years bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology in Brazil and a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bologna. Currently, she is a second year PhD student in Aerospace Science and Technology at the University of Bologna.
Teaching activities
In the academic year 2023/24 she is an academic tutor for the course of Design Methods for Industrial Engineering in the master’s degree of Mechanical Engineering for Sustainability.

Reviewer for the Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering. Member of the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA) and of the Associazione Nazionale Disegno e Metodi dell'Ingegneria Industriale (ADM).
