Graduated in chemistry cum laude in 2004, he received his PhD in Medical Biotechnology research in 2008, and then he has been studying the chemical and biochemical properties of biomaterials as Post-Doc doctoral researcher at the Department of Biochemistry (now DIBINEM).
Since 2023 he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences of the University of Bologna
He's author of more than 70 publications on international peer-rewieved journal and of about 80 communications at national and international congresses.
