Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, he conducts his research in the fields of Classical Archaeology and Late Antique Art History. His primary interests focus on a
ncient domestic architecture,
non-figurative decoration, and visual systems in the Mediterranean context between the Hellenistic period and Late Antiquity. His current research explores the
longue durée of decorative practices, with particular attention to their perceptual mechanisms and cultural and cognitive significance, including the architectural staging and
ritual spaces.
He is actively involved in national and international research projects and collaborates with Italian and foreign institutions on the study, interpretation, and public engagement of archaeological heritage. Author of a monograph, scholarly essays, edited volumes, and scientific contributions, he has received awards for his research activity and serves on editorial boards and scientific committees in the fields of cultural heritage and archaeology
