Associate Professor at the Bologna University since 2011, he is involved in High Energy Physics as an INFN research associate. He started his research activity on cosmic ray and astroparticle physics at the Gran Sasso Labs. Then he moved on neutrino physics with natural and artificial beams. Currently he's working at CERN's LHC, as a member of the ATLAS Collaboration, looking for new physics beyond the Standard Model. He is author of about 350 papers on international journals.
