Graduated in Contemporary History (University of Bologna), PhD in History of Federalism and European Unity (University of Pavia) has published essays on European history, Italian communism and, locally, the history of Bologna in the twentieth century. Since 1999 he has been continuously collaborating with the University of Bologna; since 2003, at the Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori (SSLMIT) in Forlì, he teaches Political and Economic Integration of the European Union.
