Mauro Carboni teaches Economic History and Global Economic History. He specializes in urban history, in the history of finance, credit, and welfare agencies. He has recently published: Il credito disciplinato (Il Mulino, 2014); L’ascesa economica dell’Europa (Il Mulino, 2016). In addition, he has published articles in The Sixteenth Century Journal, The Journal of European Economic History, Renaissance and Reformation, Rekishi Hyoron, Quaderni Storici, The Financial History Review, The History of the Family.
Mauro Carboni has earned a Ph. D. in history from Michigan State University (1993). Before moving to Bologna he has taught courses at Michigan State University, Michigan Technological University, the National University of Ireland, Emerson College (European Center).
