Maurizio Bergamaschi is Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2010. His studies are focused on urban and environmental sociology.
His main research topics are: urban poverty processes, anti-poverty policies, and the post-Durkheim French sociology.
Since 2005 he is Scientific Director of the course “Operare con le persone senza dimora”, organized by Fondazione San Marcellino in Genoa in collaboration with the 1st cycle degree in Social Work at the University of Bologna. He is the General Editor of the journal "Sociologia urbana e rurale" since 2015. He is also member of the Academic Board of the Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Bologna.
He is author of many publications, translations and research reports.
