Massimo Giunti

Researcher at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences (DIMEVET) since 2004, his main interests are emergency medicine and intensive care of companion animals. Since 2012 he was nominated Head of the Emergency Medicine Unit of small animals of the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Bologna (VUH). Since September 2015 he got a position as Associate Professor at DIMEVET. From 2015 to 2021 he was Head of the Small Animal Clinical Service of the VUH. Since 2018 he was Diplomate "De facto" at the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC®). His main field of research is the study of diagnostic and prognostic markers of critical illness, particularly focused on Sepsis in companion animals. Author of papers in indexed international journals.
