Curriculum vitae

I was born in Bentivoglio (BO) on June 1, 1956.

In November of 1979, I graduated with honors from the University of Bologna, Faculty of Jurisprudence, spokesman Prof. Francesco Galgano.

Since October 1990, I have been a university full professor of Private Law, and now of Civil Law, with the Faculty of Jurisprudence of Bologna. I'm a teacher of Private Insurance Law.

I have been a teacher of a Master in Law of Cultural and Environmental Monuments held in Ravenna. I was also a teacher of another Master in Legislation of Public Works and Construction, held within the School of Specialization in Studies of Public Administration of the University of Bologna.

I am a component of the teachers' school in various Dottorati di ricerca (PhD) in the area of civil law.

I am a component of the Comitato di bioetica of the University of Bologna.

I am on the management and editorial team of numerous juridic magazines, such as Contratto e impresa, Responsibilità civile e previdenza, and Danno e responsabilità.  I directed the Le riviste ipertestuali and among these La Responsabilità civile.

I am a cassation lawyer with a law firm in Bologna; I am an accademico of the agiati.

I am a member of the Scientific Committee of the Lawyer Foundation of Forlì and a member of the Council of the Bologna Bar Association.

In the past, I have held the position of board director of Scuola di specializzazione delle professioni legali.

In the past, I have held the position of board director in two public companies. Now I am on the board of a quoted society and of a bank.  I am also a rappresentante comune degli azionisti privilegiati in a society quoted on the stock exchange.

I have served on the council of the Project of Assistence to the Realization of the Telemated Civil Trial, at the Ministry of Grace and Justice. I have also been in a task force having the same objective with the Court of Bologna.
