Adjunct professor at the University of Bologna since 2001. From 2004 to 2014 Director of the Centre for Environmental Research - CRSA (Company, in the past time, agreed upon with the Alma Mater - University of Bologna). Nowadays R&D consultants, Business Partner (Head of the Physics Division) of SERVIN (Ravenna): Services Company in the fields of: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Management and H&S.
He conducts his research in the fields of the environmental sciences and of the cultural heritage protection. In particular, his research interests are addressed to the chemistry and the physics for the environment and for the cultural heritage protection.
Currently his researches are focused on the mathematical modeling of the environmental pollution, on the risk analysis (health, ecological and cultural heritage) and on the mechanisms of degradation of the librarian heritage.
He participates at many national and international research projects; he collaborates with several Italian and European institutions and organizations. He is author of numerous publications and has received several awards from prestigious institutions.
