Mariassunta graduated in 2017 from the scientific high school "Telesi@", in Southern Italy.
She obtained her undergraduate degree in 2020 from the Chemistry Department "Giacomo Ciamician" of the University of Bologna, defending a thesis titled "Characterization of the Ionic Composition of Waters Sampled at the Pertosa-Auletta Cave", a study focused on environmental chemistry and involving the characterization, through a multi-year project, of the dynamics to which aerosols were subjected within the cave environment, to propose strategies for the conservation of similar sites.
She obtained her master's degree in 2023, presenting a dissertation titled: “Characterization of Aerosol and Atmospheric Gas Dynamics in Val d'Agri Oil Center Area”, concentrated on the dynamics of gaseous pollutants and atmospheric aerosols in a geographical area subjected to oil and natural gas extraction processes.
