CURRENT POSITION

 

03/2005- Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, faculty of Sciences MM. FF. NN., degree course in Physics. She belongs to the Scientific and Disciplinary Area GEO/10 (Solid-Earth Geophysics) and Department of Physics (sector of Geophysics).

On 26/01/22 she got the italian scientific abilitation (ASN) to the role of full professor in SSD GEO/10.

EDUCATION

 

23/10/1990 Degree in Physics, University of Bologna, grade: 110/110 cum Laude.

 

1991-1993 PhD student in Physics with geophysical curriculum, University of Bologna (supervised by Prof. Maurizio Bonafede).

19/9/1994 PhD in Physics (award date),

Thesis: "Postseismic relaxation and rheological structure of fault zones” (in Italian).

She co-operated with Prof. Maurizio Bonafede and Prof. Rolando Rizzi (University of Bologna) in order to ask the Bologna University to open a new Master's degree course in Earth System Physics (being part of the Committee Charged with  this aim by  the members of the current Council of the Master's degree course in Earth System Physics).

Currently she is member of the Committe for Quality Assurance of the CdS Fisica del Sistema Terra.

22/10/2008“Time dependent stress changes and earthquake triggering” at the research conference: “New challenges in earthquake dynamics: observing and modelling a multi-scale system” of the European Science Foundation (Obergurgl. Austria, 18-23/10/2008).

 

She collaborated to the organization of the exposition "Research paths, Physics goes through Bologna" for the World Year of Physics (2005).

 

She was convener for the disciplinary session “Solid Earth Geophysics” at GEOITALIA 2009 meeting.
