Maria Cristina Bisi was born in Lugo (Italy) in 1983. She earned the PhD in Biomedical Engineering, the Master degree (cum laude) and the Bachelor degree (cum laude) from the University of Bologna respectively in 2010, 2006 and 2004.
She is currently working as Assistant Professor (junior) at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering of the University of Bologna, conducting research in the field of biomechanics and human movement analysis.
Her research activity is mainly focused on the development of quantitative methods for the assessment and the understanding of motor control development during maturation. Her scientific production includes 24 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 90 abstracts published in the proceedings of National and International congresses.
She is reviewer for several International journals, member of societies in the field of Biomechanics and Human Movement Analysis and, since 2019, Treasurer of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC).
