Description:
In 2024-25, I collaborated with the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences - Chair of Special Pedagogy at the University of Turin on the public engagement project entitled ART-IN-MED, or Art in Educational Tables: Preserving and Disseminating the Historical Collections of the Medical and Veterinary Sciences of the University of Turin. The project is led by the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences, with 15 authoritative external partners, including the Academy of Medicine of Turin and the patronage of the Piedmont Region, the Regional Council - General States for Prevention and Well-being, the Metropolitan City of Turin, the 8th District, and the Italian Center for Health and Hospital History (CISO). The proposed educational activities are aimed at introducing the study of science to the tools of scientific research and expressive art. My contribution took the form of supporting the project's teachers in organizing activities for schools, providing support in formulating educational objectives and developing accessible materials to meet the special communication or other needs of the participating students.
