Keywords: theoretical chemistry, light-matter interactions, cavity QED, electrostatic catalysis

My research is in theoretical and computational chemistry. I work in the research group of Prof. Francesco Zerbetto. The activity mainly focuses on various aspectes of the light-matter interaction.

1) Study of molecular properties and mechanisms in cavity QED environments. I simulate using quantum chemical methods the variation of such properties as function of the strength of light-matter coupling.

2) Study of the molecular response to various combinations of electromagnetic waves. The objective is the simulation of the molecular response during the application of real spectroscopic techniques.

3) In collaboration with Prof. Bofill Villà and carried on at the Institute of theoretical and computational chemistry of the University of Barcelona (IQTCUB). Study of the optimal external electric field that makes a chemical reaction perfectly catalyzed, that is barrierless.
