Graduation THESIS for Chemical Engineering students are available on the following topics:
"CHARACTERIZATION OF TRANSPORT IN CO2 SELECTIVE MEMBRANES FOR ENERGY APPLICATIONS"
The analysis of pure gases and mixtures permeability in innovative membranes for CO2 separation will be considered in view of its application in carbon capture systems. The experimental results obtained will be modeled through the use of theoretical and numerical tools available in order to obtain information on the materials behavior in operating conditions different from those tested.
"PRODUCTION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SUSTAINABLE BARRIER MATERIALS BASED ON MFC (Microfibrillated Cellulose) "
The evaluation of OTR and WVTR (Oxygen and Water Vapor Transfer Rate) of MFC based films and cotaings will be considered to understand their potentiality in the use as sustainable barrier materials in packaging applications. The experimental results obtained will be then modeled to build structure-properties relationships useful for material enhancement and optimization.
"STUDY of MULTICOMPONENT SORPTION OF VAPOR OR LIQUID MIXTURES IN GLASSY POLYMER AND RUBBERS"
the activity will be devoted to the analysis of multicomponent soprtion of vapor and liquid mixtures in polymers. Possible activities include
-the modeling of available data sets through existing models, considering possible optimization of the parameters or fo the models themselves in order to achieve best predictive ability
- Experimental analysis of multicomponnet soprtion of vapours and liquids in glassy polymers and rubbers in order to obtain new data sets for the modeling activity.
